How can we stay healthy and fit for as long as possible? What if we could stay one step ahead of high blood pressure, diabetes and joint problems? Three diagnoses that do not depend on fate, and much less on our genes than we think.
Our educational leave combines well-founded health knowledge with targeted exercise in nature. Both work together and form the basis for long-term performance and stable health, including with regard to a longer working life and the growing demands of everyday work.
When the summer sun sets late behind the lighthouse and we learn between beach, dunes and harbour, we are right in the middle of it: hiking by the sea, learning, breathing deeply.
Seminar content:
Making it easy to stick with it: In the weeks after the seminar we will support you with short impulses by email, so that good intentions become real habits.
Daily schedule: Mornings: After the morning exercise (not part of the seminar), we start the day with a nourishing breakfast. Depending on the weather, we go straight to the beach to learn, or first to the seminar room.
Hiking & learning: The seminar content is spread across the whole day and alternates with phases of hiking. The Baltic Sea coast in early summer has its very own charm: bright, lively and full of energy. Hiking distance: approx. 6 km per day or about 2 hours, woven into the seminar content. No special fitness is required.
Late afternoon: Time for rest and recovery, for an ice cream on the promenade, reading a book on the beach or a sociable get-together. One evening there is an evening event planned.
Evenings: A stroll through the lovely Baltic seaside resort. Anyone who wishes can join a short evening exercise session. In early summer we spend a lot of time outside on the beach. Long days, warm light and fresh sea air are a balm for body and soul.
Who is this course for? For working people with overweight or obesity who want to actively promote their health in everyday working life. No prior knowledge or special fitness is needed, just a love of being outdoors.
Accommodation and meals: Hotel am Alten Strom: 4 nights with breakfast.
Culinary and more: Dinner in the restaurant à la carte or on the terrace, or perhaps rather a tasty fish roll to go?! Officially in charge of fish roll inspection at Alten Strom. ;-)

Looking forward to: Our learning sessions take place outdoors in good weather. We are out and about together, and between sessions the learning continues while hiking. The seminar day lasts around 6.5 hours, and we are back at the hotel around 3:30 to 4 pm. During this time the legally required teaching time is fully delivered and used exclusively for seminar content.
Why Warnemünde at the start of summer? Warnemünde in early summer means long bright days, blooming beach dunes and the Baltic Sea for the first swim of the year. Stroll along the Alter Strom, admire the lighthouse in the evening light and experience the Seebrücke in the evening. Sea, harbour and old town right on your doorstep: the perfect setting to gather new strength and consciously begin the summer.
Tip: Extend your stay by a few days to explore summery Warnemünde at leisure.
