Founding partner: the first 5 bookings commission-free
You only pay when a booking actually happens.
On Bildungszeit, employees find recognised Bildungsurlaub courses and take care of the employer application at the same time. Listing courses and enquiries cost nothing. For every enquiry, you decide whether to confirm it. Costs only arise once a confirmed enquiry actually becomes a booking with you.

The process
The path your participants take
Millions of employees are entitled to Bildungsurlaub, and only a few use it. It often fails before anyone even enquires: at the hesitation to ask the employer, and at the uncertainty about whether a course is recognised and how exactly the application works. That is exactly where Bildungszeit comes in, in five stations.
01
Finding the right course
Participants search by what matters to them: topic, location, timing, budget, work relevance. With the state their employer is in, they see which courses are recognised there.
Your course shows up where someone is searching for exactly that.

Everything that matters before the enquiry
The course page shows what counts before an enquiry: recognition in their own state, dates, the course price with the accommodation alongside it, plus details such as accessibility or catering. Anyone interested sends a non-binding request.
What is clear beforehand gets asked about less afterwards.

Participants receive the application to their employer fully prepared: matched to the law of their state, with the right wording and the documents for your course attached. The application deadline stays in front of them.
Your course reaches the employer complete and professional.

In Berlin, for example, the application counts as approved if the employer does not respond within 2 weeks after the application arrives. That is in the letter too.

Submitting digitally
In 9 of the 14 states with a Bildungsurlaub law, the application goes to the employer digitally: by email via the platform, decided on a page of its own, without signing in. Where applications run through an HR portal or the law requires written form, participants download the finished application package: cover letter and attachments in one file, ready to upload or to sign.

Hi! Is the course suitable for beginners too? I have barely done any yoga so far.

Prospect 1 · 09:36Informed enquiries
Anyone who enquires has already seen whether your course is recognised in their state, when it takes place and what it costs. How the application to the employer works is something the platform shows them step by step.
Every enquiry and message in one place
In the portal you see every enquiry with its status and all the messages that belong to it. You confirm or decline a spot: in the portal with one click, or via the link in the email. Every enquiry also reaches you by email.
Personal where it counts
In the chat you sort out what only you can answer: content, travel, particulars. On the application, deadlines and approval the platform keeps participants informed the whole way, so those questions come up less often.
The booking itself happens with you: your booking process, your payment, your terms.
Listing courses is free, enquiries are free.
Pricing
We moved the price from the enquiry to the booking
On lead portals you pay for every enquiry, whether anything comes of it or not. With us, you decide for every enquiry whether to confirm it. Costs only arise once it actually becomes a booking with you.

Billing
No leap of faith required
Anyone who clicks “Book now” on Bildungszeit has settled everything important beforehand: course, dates, costs and the leave from their employer. That is why billing starts at exactly this click, and the booking appears on your monthly statement. If for whatever reason it did not happen after all, you strike it off with one click and pay nothing for it. No discussion, no forms. Only what you leave standing is billed.
- 14 days to object, on every single line
- Free cancellation? Then you get a credit. Commission only if you keep money for the booking.
- Your participants keep paying you directly. We only invoice the commission.

Getting started
Ready to go in three steps
- 1
Register
Four details, no payment information. Your account is set up in about two minutes.
- 2
List your courses
Paste the link to your course page: we read out title, description, images, location, dates and price, and you check everything before anything is saved. Or you create the course yourself, step by step. You specify once which states your course is recognised in. Then you submit it, we look it over, and your course is visible.
- 3
Answer enquiries
Confirm or decline a spot. The platform informs participants about the application, documents and deadlines. What remains for you is mainly what only you can answer: questions about your course.

Quick answers
Frequently asked questions
What does Bildungszeit cost me?
Nothing until someone books with you. Listing courses and enquiries cost nothing, and there is no annual fee. For every enquiry, you decide whether to confirm it: costs can only arise from an enquiry you have confirmed. If it becomes a brokered booking, you pay 4% of the course price without accommodation, plus VAT. As a founding partner, your first 5 bookings are commission-free.
What exactly counts as a booking?
You have confirmed the enquiry, and the leave from the employer is settled: then the participant deliberately clicks “Book now” and is forwarded to you. That booking appears on your monthly statement. If it did not happen after all, you flag it with one click within 14 days and pay nothing.
What happens with a cancellation?
One simple rule applies: commission only if you keep money for the booking. If a participant cancels free of charge, you get the commission as a credit. If you keep a fee under your own cancellation terms, the commission stands.
Does participant payment run through you?
No. Booking and payment happen directly with you, as before. We only invoice you the commission for bookings we brokered, once a month.
Am I tied into a contract?
No. No subscription, no term, no annual fee. You can take your courses offline at any time.
I am already listed on other portals. Does that work in parallel?
Yes. We do not ask for exclusivity: you list your courses with us as well and change nothing else. The only price rule: a course does not cost more with us than when booked directly with you; on other portals your prices are up to you. As long as nobody books with you through Bildungszeit, it costs you nothing.
Do I have to hold a spot while the employer application is in progress?
No. With your confirmation you only say that a spot is currently free. You don't have to hold it. If you like, you can reserve it for one to four weeks when you confirm.
What is different about you compared with the existing portals?
Two things. You only pay for bookings, not for enquiries: on a lead portal, how many enquiries book varies, so what a booking cost you is only clear afterwards. With us it is clear beforehand, so you can plan. And participants get the application to their employer fully prepared on the platform.
Which courses can I list?
Courses that are recognised as Bildungsurlaub. For each course you record in which states the recognition applies or has been applied for. Before publication we check the details and the supporting documents.
How do participants find Bildungszeit?
Bildungszeit is new, and building demand is our job, not yours. We start focused rather than everywhere at once: with targeted visibility where most people search for Bildungsurlaub today. And you only pay once it reaches you.

Who is behind Bildungszeit
Endrik Reimer
Founder of Bildungszeit
I come from the Palatinate and studied industrial engineering in Nuremberg, California and Berlin. Most recently I ran the special transport service for people with disabilities provided by the State of Berlin. It takes people who cannot use buses and trains to their families, to friends or to the theatre, so that they can take part in public life. There I saw that an entitlement only helps if the way to it works in everyday life.
It is similar with Bildungsurlaub. Many people around me know they are entitled to it and still do not take it, worried that it will not go down well at work. Those who did take it usually tell the opposite story. Their employer took it better than expected, and many have taken it again and again since. I think a week of further training should not fail because of this hesitation. That is why I founded Bildungszeit, with the aim of making the way from entitlement to course easier for employees, for their employers and for everyone who offers courses.
