How do we stay healthy and productive for as long as possible?
What if we could stay one step ahead of high blood pressure, diabetes and joint problems?
Three diagnoses that do not depend on fate, and far less on our genes than we think. Exercise, nutrition, restorative sleep, relaxation, mindfulness and good social relationships are the most effective tools to remain vital and prevent chronic diseases.
Our educational leave course combines what belongs together: sound health knowledge and genuine movement in nature. When in April fresh green conquers the beech forests, wild garlic and wood anemones cover the forest floor, we are right in the middle of it all, hiking, learning, breathing deeply. This week is not about sitting in a seminar room for hours on end: the content is delivered compactly, practically, entertainingly and in an easy-to-understand manner, often outdoors and embedded in movement and activity.
After breakfast at Waldhotel Hainich in Kammerforst, a quiet place right at the edge of the national park, we are in the national park within minutes. The seminars are spread throughout the day and alternate with hiking phases. No special fitness level is required. We will walk approximately 10 to 12 km daily. The Hainich trails are hilly but not steep and easy to manage.
Since hiking should not be neglected, we will not be back until the late afternoon. This is followed by time for rest and recovery, for a coffee in the winter garden, reading a book or a social gathering.
What you can expect:
Scientifically based strategies for promoting cardiovascular health, preventing metabolic diseases, maintaining mobility and resilience of the back and joints, and reducing stress-related strain. Why educational leave in Hainich National Park?
During a vacation a few years ago, we fell in love with this place. The Hainich was a military restricted area for decades. Large areas were rarely entered, allowing nature to develop undisturbed. Today, with an area of 130 square kilometers, it is Germany's largest contiguous deciduous forest area and one of Europe's oldest and largest beech forests.
Through this UNESCO World Natural Heritage site run more than 20 trails in addition to the Rennsteig.
In late April, the beech forest awakens to life: the first delicate green glows in sunlight, the forest floor is a sea of wild garlic, wood anemones and larch fern. Bird calls fill the forest, a unique spring experience that revitalizes body and mind.
Let yourself be inspired!
This seminar takes place in an attractive setting. The legally required instruction time is fully provided on all seminar days and is used exclusively for seminar content. Exercise sessions, excursions and other recreational activities are offered in addition to the instruction time.
